A friend of friends, take an initiative and there he is you be with you. Cooks well, so his wife will have good time, and is infect a beacon of hope for all those who need a shoulder. And well yes, he has a charming smile which is required to work at Ministry of Health, and so there he is.
Akshar is a highly intelligent and diligent classmate and a dear friend. I had a great time studying Singapore's VAT system with him and also having geeky discussions about economic theories. In the years to come, I am looking forward to witnessing Akshar becoming a great health prof like PKH. All the best for the future!
I have always unabashedly said that Akshar is one of my personal favorites in class. He always has an unassuming wit that makes me laugh and think at the same time. His ability to display his intellect and diligence is effortless and always humble. It is always a pleasure hanging around this guy. And yes, as if his work load does not eat up enough time, expect this guy to call you on a random morning to share the latest bit of gossip with you. Good luck, Akshar!
The great person to work with at the Infocomm Development Authority, although it's just lunch together everyday. I must admit that you are a great talent who can inherit the name of "information center" from me.
My Indian here in LKY, I couldn't thank him enough for accompanying me to my regular Indian outings, be it a little Diwali celebration or Bhel when I'm missing it. Akshar, you have been absolutely wonderful - my travel companion (he is a great planner, Excel sheets and all), a fellow Hindi speaker (we've talked about so many people when they were around), a little boy sometimes (I have enjoyed asking you to relax when you get all hyper) and an intelligent and diligent academic (I'll always remember your presentations). I will miss you a lot Akshar, but we will keep in touch and that is all that matters :) Love ya!
Only a friendship as unique as Akshar's and mine could transcend our horrific past :) From countless cups of coffee, deep academic discussions, nerdy monetary policy jokes, sleepy flights, terrible food in hauz khas and a spirited (near-violent) argument at the liquid kitchen - Akshar's innate sensibility and sensitivity endear him to me immensely. He is not only WAY cuter, smarter and nicer than he believes himself to be, but is also an immensely fascinating mix of conservatism and liberalism.. Overall, I hope that my favourite indian-singaporean-indian and I end up foxing all the journal gods by resolutely staying friends - for every fiscal year to come. Hugs.
Akshar always has something interesting to share with, and knows the talks of the day. What I like most about him is that he is always approachable and nice to have a chat with. I liked talking with him and enjoyed the movies he shared with me. And I often had used his local knowledge of the bus routes and places. He is a wonderful local guide.
Its interesting that he managed to get a collection of lexicon for everyone at the end of the course.
He is smart... He has clever observation... He possesses creativity ... He seems to be stressful sometimes ... however, he is cool n intelligent class-mate :) :) ~ Shwe ~
I still remember the first impression of Akshar - sharp, intelligent Indian. It was such a fun to have a drink and play pool with youl. See you in Singapore!
if akshar's got 'secret admirers', i think i am one of them.
i am always impressed by his (critical) wit, leadership, and friendly personalities since day one in school. had i known you before my son was born, i'd name my son your name.
Brevity is his middle name: I have rarely met a person who thinks through what they say or do more thoroughly than Aks. Incredibly smart, at times too much so!!, and a friend for life! Best for everything, boss!

My first bond in Singapore. A great observer and creative person. I will always remember the "MRT system" he created in our 03-09 apartment!(QTT)
