Charles is a unique person. I can't say I know him very well, but his charisma, witty mind and almost natural ability to challenge the status quo are the traits of a leader. I respect your independent views and global thinking. It was a pleasure to study with you.
Charles has been a very good friend of mine for more than 10 years. I have always been highly impressed by his intelligence and eloquence, as well as his depth of knowledge. And even though he has not introduced me to his secret lady friend, I am still proud and honoured to call him my friend :)
It’s always a pleasant surprise to see you around. But a pleasure when you bring up delicate issues in class. I wish that we had the chance to actually get to know you better. Wish you success and happiness in life.
TO me Charles is an outstanding student, as much of the time he was out of class when we missed presence of a historian and a Singaporean who can raise an issues we missed or bring a new dimension to discussion. I really wish I would have known you more as I feel we may have enjoyed talking and sharing our thoughts.
I remember Charles as not only the person who helped to secure me the Class Presidency but also as one of the most intelligent person in our class who can easily articulate his ideas very clearly to others. When he talks he is able to draw the undivided attention to him, and is often very convincing.
I wish him all the best and I am confident that he will climb up in whichever organizations he chooses to work in. Cheers, Azwar
