His plays guitar well and sings with a delighting smile, one can not escape the effect. A warm friend and caring person. I have found him smiling even when a presentation or an assignment was due next hour, so you can guess how special he is.

Hanafi is an inspiring and humble human being. My experience working together with him the past year has confirmed that and revealed much more. He is amazingly observant. His thoughts and love for Indonesia are deep and passionate. I feel honored to have had the opportunity working with him. I hope above hope he and his wisdom would help our country to be better. Soon.

"Very Good!" was always the comment for the pictures he took during our Berlin trip. It was fun to have him in the journey. With charming smile, nice conversation, and humor, he is naturally one of the MPP Idol for our class! All the best lah!

I share similar name with his son! We bonded on the very first team events in Orientation and from there to the sinful hookah in Berlin. We never took any common electives but still can always strike meaningful conversations. If I get a chance, I will come and study the module you will be teaching later...

Hanafai is always approachable and a pleasant person to be around and he will make you feel important. I studied few electives with him and I notice that he always has an interesting perspective of an issue to share with the class.

We spent overnight working on SPSS for WuXun’s memo in the Comp Lab 2, he was quite helpful and willing to share his expertise with SPSS. As I get to know more of him I learned more of his love for the family and his kid. He is a wonderful Dad. I wish him all the best, and hopes to meet him even after the course. Azwar

One of the most calm and composed persons I have ever met – I have a lot to learn from him, including his pragmatism. I look forward to staying in touch, Guru!

My first conversation with Hanafi took place on Y!M even before we came to Singapore. I remember he was worried about the math and economics subjects that we were going to get in the MPP program, because he doesn't have math and economics background. Neither do I, but being a hopeless optimist that I am, I assured Hanafi that we'd be fine. After we've started our courses, I realized that Hanafi has coped better than me, because he's a very smart person. And I know you don't like people mentioning about your father, but I just want to say that I admire how humble you are, being who you are. I know some people who are arrogant just because they have important parents, but not you. I think you're truly an embodiment of the "paddy principle" in Indonesia's proverb, which literally means, "The more substance it has, the lower it bows". Position, wealth and title don't impress me. Character does, and that's why I feel privileged to have known you in the past 2 years. Not because you're someone's son, but because of the person that you are.

Hanafi, my brother. We have created countless happy memories for each other: from the OAE project, the interview to the grassroots leaders, to the trip in Berlin. I think the reason why we automatically feel pleased when we meet even without any word is that we are able to communicate by heart now.

Hope you and your family healthy and happy everyday. And for me, I'll make you as a model to learn how to be a perfect husband and father: )
