A white guy was the last thing I expected when opening the front door in July 2006, but I thank the stars for this Australian whose immaculateness may be outmatched by his diligence. It was his company that so many times reminded me I had a true friend in someone whose laughter is chronically contagious and whose generosity is unremitting.

He is the most helpful guy you can find. Always ready to help out when you are stuck or need some information. A very good cook - thank you for the many wonderful vegetarian meals at your place. Very good at keeping in touch, this guy is incredibly good with emails. He is super diligent with his work and very good with making everything look good. It was so great to see you in London and back here in Singapore James. I hope we get to meet just as often in the future. Wishing you all the best in everything you do, many more travels and a lot of happiness! Love ya!

One of Meadow Lodge's finest gourmet chefs :) James is one of the most reliable and dependable people I know. He's also surprisingly sweet, endearingly creative and and incredibly supportive. Never a person to renege on a commitment, and always to be relied on to bring a smile to the faces of two lonely New Yorkers :) he's like a very dear elder brother to me. It's been so much fun spending time with you in Singapore and New York, thank you for all that you've done for me! Here's hoping for a lifetime of friendship and fun.. *hugs*

He is the one who won't betray your trust and friendship. He is the one who will never quit on anything. He is also an indispensable part of my life for last 2 years. Oh, also known as a master of editing.

James is a bureaucrat in the old sense. He's professional to the marrow, and creates opportunities where there are none. I don't think I ever had the privilege to savour his food, but hope I'll be invited more often.

James has a big warm family all over the world! I like his cousins, sisters, and aunts, as well as his father’s farm in Australia. He takes pleasure in every dot of beauty in his life.

He is an unusual person in many ways. His resourcefulnesses, his ability to carve out opportunities are but the few aspect I found worth mentioning. I miss his random visits to my room, which had a positive association with the stress of assignments, and the resulting effect was a momentary calming down. He is still here at LSE so I expect to seem him more.

Kangaroo/Indonesian man, Thanks for all your help, assistance and valuable guide during my stay in London! It was an honour to meet you mi amigo! I am still missing your 'peculiar and accurate participations' in class-lah. You are always welcome in our home, wherever that might be.
